23 Mindful Meditation Mindful meditation is a non-denominational club which take place after academy hours. We will be studying what it is to be mindful and present, as well as low impact relaxation techniques that include guided meditation, and eventually, quiet meditation. We will focus on breathing techniques, positive affirmations and theme specific meditations (morning meditations, dealing with emotions, gratitude, giving to others). Our goal will be to learn positive life techniques that help the mind and body. Theatre Club Theatre club have recently performed successful productions of The Little Mermaid, Joseph and The Lion King. We meet every Friday and have fun performing with singing, acting and movement. We love improving our teamwork skills and confidence. Netball Club Netball club is held on Thursdays after academy hours. It is open to all pupils in Key Stage 2. This is a great opportunity to make new friends and work as part of a team. We play to keep fit and have fun, and also take part in competitive games against other schools. Homework Club Homework club is held on Mondays until 4pm. This club is for Year 3 and 4 pupils who would like a bit of catchup work time or help with any independent work. Reading Rendezvous Reading Rendezvous is held every Wednesday lunchtime, meeting places are either the academy field or library area. Pupils have the opportunity to share books with friends or read independently. We want to encourage all pupils to develop a love of books and reading. Colouring Club Colouring club is open to pupils in Reception and Year 1 and is held on Thursdays after academy hours. Pupils develop their fine motor skills in this fun and friendly environment. Football Club Football club takes place on Mondays after academy hours. It is available to pupils in Years 4, 5, and 6. This is a great opportunity to make new friends and work as part of a team.
