Hello and welcome to Nelson Academy. We are a diverse, vibrant, ambitious and creative academy where every child is made to feel safe and valued. We encourage children to have high aspirations and support them to take risks and challenge themselves with their learning. Our aim is to ensure that every child has the very best educational experience possible so they leave us ready for the next phase in their learning journey. Nelson Academy is very much part of the local community in Downham Market, and being part of the Eastern Multi-Academy Trust certainly helps us to build upon this by making links with others academies within the Trust. Following our Ofsted judgement of ‘good’ in December 2016, we are fully committed to ensuring that the academy continues to improve as we work towards embedding a culture of ‘outstanding’ throughout.
