Even the children got involved, with the Nelson Singers performing in front of a big crowd and a lovely group of students who put on a wonderful puppet show.

Families came to show their support and lots of money was raised for our school.

Our New Eco Outdoor Classroom

Our new Eco outdoor classroom is complete!

This project has been possible due to the hard work of Mrs Boyes, who submitted a bid for a Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk 'Community Infrastructure Levy' grant last year, which was successful.

Thank you so much Mrs Boyes. This outdoor classroom, which can be used by the whole school for a variety of purposes, is an incredibly welcome addition to our school environment.

Norfolk Open Studios 2022

The theme for this years Norfolk Open Studios was Escape. See how the children at Nelson Academy have used art to escape their normal day. Work by artists from throughout the school exploring colour, space, place and emotions. We also had the return of the - now annual – family activity day! As a treat, after working hard peeling tatties, we enjoyed our Burns' Supper together (haggis, neeps, tatties, scotch pancakes, shortbread and a 'wee dram' - Irn Bru). I was very happy to have seen such enthusiasm for Scottish Culture and some converts to the delights of the haggis!
