Reception classes have been learning about a variety of careers and the important roles people play in our communities. To support this topic, Little City visited the school, giving the children the opportunity to dress up and take part in imaginative role-play activities based on different professions. The children enthusiastically stepped into the shoes of racing car drivers, construction workers, vets, doctors, and hairdressers, among many others. It was a fantastic experience that encouraged creativity, communication, and an understanding of the world of work.
We were also delighted to welcome some of our parents into school to share information about their careers. The children enjoyed hearing first-hand about a range of professions, including the armed forces, emergency first responders and plumbing. These visits gave the children a valuable insight into the different jobs people do and the important contributions they make to society.
