Nelson Academy got a bit muddy in December.  Thanks to grants from the Woodland Trust and the Tree Council, we were gifted with 5 fruit trees and 30 hedgerow trees.  Classes worked together to clear the ground, dig the holes, and plant the saplings. All of this hard work not only brought us closer to our Green Flag Eco goals of creating wildlife habitats and growing fruits and vegetables, but it also helps celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee through the Green Canopy initiative.
