Healthy Living Week

An exciting week of sports and activities.

Healthy Living Week has been a very busy week, where the children have had the opportunity to try out lots of different sports and activities.

The week started off with Mr Noakes from Active Education, who put our children through their paces with lots of games to get them moving. Mrs Melia showed off her Martial Arts skills as did some of the children who attend martial arts classes outside of school. They were all very impressive! The children have been skipping their hearts out as part of the Skip to Fit programme, with the little ones trying ever so hard to jump over the skipping rope. Norwich City FC came in to test our children's footballing skills and in some cases, teach them new ones. Downham and Stow Cricket Club came for a game of cricket, once the children had mastered the basics, and there was some lovely teamwork going on between the fielders in all year groups. Both children and staff had a lovely time dancing away with Russ, the local Zumba instructor. This was lively, loud and so much fun! They also got the chance to try out some New Age Curling in the hall with Mrs Cupit and this became quite competitive!

A huge thank you to Mrs Cupit for organising all the wonderful events this week and to all the instructors who came in to offer something new and exciting to the children.
