Nelson Academy held its annual Talent Show where children across the school had the opportunity to showcase their many wonderful talents. 

It all started with class auditions, where one winner from each class was selected to perform and represent their class in the Grand Final. Mr Taylor hosted an amazing event which saw many singers, dancers, magicians, gymnasts and comedians take to the stage, to try and win the competition. 

We had 4 lovely judges watching and giving their feedback to each act. They were amazed by the standard of talent this year. For Key Stage 2, the winner was a hugely popular contestant from year 6 who made Rick Astley proud with his version of 'Never Gonna Give You Up', which had the whole audience singing along! In Key Stage 1, the winners were two of the loveliest contestants who sang a whole Taylor Swift song together, dressed as royalty. There was not a dry eye in the house after their performance. 

A big thank you to all the contestant who took part, all the finalist who put on an amazing show, all the judges who were so lovely and kind to all the contestants, and to all the staff who made this show happen, especially Mr Taylor and Miss Abbott.
