FON are back with a bang, with another fundraising event for our little ones.
Nelfest – the rescheduled summer fayre – was held on Friday 22nd September. The event took place on the field after school had ended and was attended by lots of children and their families.
Organised by the wonderful Friends of Nelson, there was a lot to see and do! There were second-hand stalls, a craft and keep table, family fun games, a tombola, the ever-so-popular bottle in a bag, bouncy castles, food vendors, FON refreshments, karaoke hour and face painting. A big shout-out to all the staff who helped out on the day to support this fabulous event.
There was a huge raffle, with all prizes donated by families. This meant lots of winners and even more money raised.
A BIG Thank You to Tesco who provided FON with food for their refreshments. This included hot dog sausages and buns! This ensured we raised even more money for our children.
The event raised £551.92, which will be put back into the school and spent on our students.
